Volunteer at the Library

The Orange County Library System has a variety of volunteer opportunities at the Orlando Public Library as well as our branch libraries.

 

Friends volunteer in various capacities, including:

 

Friends Bookstore (Orlando Public Library)

Greet customers as they arrive, provide them with information regarding products and help them locate materials. Use register to total purchases and accept payments. Learn more.

 

Library Shelving Assistant (Branch locations only)

Shelve and prepare materials for shelving including casing and checking materials for parts; maintains library shelving appearance; shelf reading for accuracy and performs other tasks as needed.
